I know making an appointment for counseling can be difficult. Even the first step of reaching out takes courage, so I affirm you for taking that step. Please email me at Kristina@herhealingpath.com to schedule an appointment. Alternatively, you can fill out the contact form on the Contact Me page, and I will contact you within 24 hours.
During your first session with me, I will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counseling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process.
Counseling is not easily described in general statements. It varies depending on the personalities of the therapist and the client, as well as the particular problems the client brings. There are several approaches you can use to address the problems you hope to address. It is not like visiting a medical doctor, in which you get a diagnosis and are put under medical care until you feel better. Counseling requires you to play an active role in feeling better. To be most successful, focus on what we discuss during the session and at home.
Counseling has both benefits and risks. Risks sometimes include experiencing uncomfortable feelings. Counseling often requires discussing unpleasant or difficult aspects of your life. Counseling has also been shown to have long-lasting benefits for people who seek it. However, there are no guarantees about the outcome; that depends on you.
The cost of counseling services at Her Healing Path varies depending on the type of service you need. Please contact us directly to discuss our fees and any available discounts.
Insurance companies can limit how a therapist can help you by requiring preauthorization of services, deciding what kind of therapy you can receive, or even the length of your therapy journey. Also, when you use insurance, your mental health becomes part of your medical health record. When you use a cash-pay therapist, you and your therapist make all of the decisions, and you receive even greater confidentiality.
Her Healing Path can help women with a wide range of issues, including midlife transitions, peri-menopause, moms of teens and young adults, major life transitions, parenting and coparenting issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress management, and more. I will work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your unique needs and goals.
